AI Skill Pod vs Agentman: which is easier for sharing AI skills with your team?

AI Skill Pod and Agentman both put your team's AI skills in one shared library that Claude, ChatGPT, and coding agents reach over MCP. Agentman has per-skill access levels and versions; AI Skill Pod gets a second teammate using a skill in 9 clicks, against about 27 clicks and 9 form fields on Agentman, at a lower price per seat.

Short answer

  • Pick Agentman if you need Use, Read, Edit, and Admin access per skill and a version history now, and your teammates are comfortable pasting a connector URL into their AI tool.
  • Pick AI Skill Pod if most of your team aren't engineers, you work with contractors on personal Claude Pro or ChatGPT accounts, or you also use Codex and OpenCode. It has a Free plan, so you can try it today.

Ease, supported tools, and price side by side

Ease comes first because a skill library nobody connects to is a folder. We counted every click and form field from sign-up until a second member used a skill in their own AI tool.

Where the clicks go on Agentman

Agentman's own connect guide splits by tool. In Claude, a member adds Agentman from the Connectors Directory, with no URL to paste. In Claude Code, ChatGPT, and Cursor, they paste the connector URL. The workspace's own URL sits under Skills, then "Use in Claude", and the ChatGPT part of the guide is one line: add the connector URL in ChatGPT's connector settings, then approve the sign-in.

That line hides most of the work for a non-engineer. ChatGPT's own help page lists the steps: open Plugins, add a custom MCP server, paste the URL, sign in, tick a confirmation box, and create it as a plugin. On ChatGPT Business, only admins and owners can create one. Each step is easy for the person who set up the workspace and slow for a designer who got an invite email.

The words add friction too. "Connector URL", "MCP", and "workspace" are clear to engineers. A marketer or a contractor reads them as a sign the tool isn't for them.

What Agentman does well

  • Access per skill. Each skill has Use, Read, Edit, and Admin levels, so you can let sales use a pricing skill that only the founders edit.
  • Versions. Every skill keeps its versions, so you can see what changed.
  • Use-only skills. Agentman's security page says the body of a use-only skill is never placed in the agent's readable context. It calls its non-disclosure instruction a backstop, not the main control.
  • A one-click path in Claude. Members on Claude connect from the Connectors Directory.

What AI Skill Pod does differently

  • One invite link, personal emails welcome. A freelancer on a personal Claude Pro account joins like anyone else.
  • Six tools from one link. Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and OpenCode. Agentman's list doesn't include Codex or OpenCode.
  • Skills from what you have. Paste a doc, or say "make this a team skill" in a chat.
  • Edits approved in one click. A change is proposed in chat; the owner approves it. You see who used which skill.
  • Lower seat prices. Team is $5 per seat; Business, with approvals for skill edits, is $15 per seat.

AI Skill Pod doesn't hide a skill's text from the members who use it. If you sell your instructions to clients and must keep them unreadable, Agentman's use-only skills are built for that and AI Skill Pod is not.

In ChatGPT, AI Skill Pod connects on Pro, Business, and Enterprise through a custom MCP connector or developer mode. On Plus, it connects where your plan allows custom connectors. The ChatGPT guide has the steps.

Cost for a team of 5

Five people on paid seats, billed monthly:

  • AI Skill Pod Team: 5 × $5 a month. Business: 5 × $15, which is $75 a month.
  • Agentman Team: 5 × $10 = $50 a month. Business, with the access levels above: $125 a month.

Both start with a free plan for a few members, so a small trial costs nothing on either.

Questions

Is Agentman a good tool?

Yes, for teams that want per-skill access levels and version history today. Agentman offers Use, Read, Edit, and Admin access per skill, keeps versions of every skill, and connects to Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Cursor, and its own agents. AI Skill Pod aims at fewer steps for non-engineers and contractors, and lower seat prices.

Can Agentman hide a skill's text from the people who use it?

Agentman sells use-only skills and says on its security page that the skill body is never placed in the agent's readable context. AI Skill Pod doesn't make that promise: share a skill only with people you'd show the doc to.

Which is cheaper for a small team?

For a team on paid seats, AI Skill Pod's Team plan is $5 per seat a month against Agentman Team's $10 per seat. Both have a free plan for a few members.
