Comparison
AI Skill Pod vs Claude Team and Enterprise skill sharing
Claude lets you share a skill with colleagues, publish it to your organization's library, or provision it for everyone, but only on the Team and Enterprise plans. AI Skill Pod gives a team on Pro, Max, or a mix of Claude and ChatGPT one shared set of skills through one MCP link, contractors included, without moving anyone to Claude Team.
Short answer
- Use Claude Team or Enterprise if everyone works in Claude and your company already buys it: sharing is built in and costs nothing extra.
- Use AI Skill Pod if people pay for their own Pro or Max, if some use ChatGPT or Codex, or if contractors outside your organization need the skills.

What Claude Team and Enterprise give you
- Share a skill with specific colleagues. Sharing creates a link, and the shared skill is view-only for them. Sharing with groups is Enterprise only.
- Publish a skill to the organization's library, with an optional review by an owner.
- Provision: owners upload skills that appear for every user automatically.
Owners switch these on under Organization settings, then Plugins and skills, then Policy. On every other plan, Anthropic's help page says each person uploads skills to their own account.
Where it stops
Everyone needs a seat in your organization
Sharing works between people in the same Claude organization. A freelancer on their own Pro account isn't in it, so they need a Team seat from you, or a ZIP file that won't update when you change the skill.
It's Claude only
Teammates who use ChatGPT, Codex, or OpenCode can't reach a Claude Team skill. Cursor and OpenCode do read Claude Code's skill folders, but only from files on that person's machine.
Teams on Pro and Max pay twice
Many small teams expense personal Pro or Max plans. Moving to Team for sharing means buying a Team seat for each person, from 2 × $25 = $50 a month.
Teams that are on Claude Team still ask for more. In issue 228 on Anthropic's skills repository, users describe ZIP files passed around in Slack, versions drifting apart, and Enterprise users without publish rights.
How AI Skill Pod does it
You add the pod once as a custom connector. Claude allows custom connectors on Free, Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise, and Free accounts can add one. From then on, your AI reaches the pod's skills through the MCP link. Claude's own Skills panel doesn't load skills served over MCP (see issue 1160), so the pod's skills don't appear there; Claude reads them through the connector.
- One invite link, personal emails welcome, so contractors join on their own Pro accounts.
- The same skills in ChatGPT (Pro, Business, and Enterprise through a custom MCP connector or developer mode; Plus where your plan allows custom connectors), Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and OpenCode.
- Edits approved in one click, and a record of who used which skill.
Like Claude, AI Skill Pod doesn't hide a skill's text from the people who use it.
Cost for a team of 5 already on Pro
- Move to Claude Team: 5 × $25 = $125 a month on monthly billing, in place of the 5 Pro plans.
- Keep Pro and add AI Skill Pod Team: 5 × $5 a month on top of the Pro plans you already pay.
If Claude Team's other features matter to you, its sharing comes free with them. If shared skills are the reason, the pod costs less and reaches more tools.

Questions
Is Claude Team worth it just to share skills?
If your team also wants Claude Team's other features, yes: sharing comes with it. If you only want shared skills and people already pay for Pro or Max, you'd pay for a second Claude seat per person. AI Skill Pod lets them keep the plan they have.
Can a Claude Pro user share a skill with another Pro user?
Not in Claude itself. Anthropic's help page describes sharing, publishing, and provisioning for Team and Enterprise; on other plans each person uploads skills to their own account. See how to share Claude skills on Pro and Max.
Do Claude Team's shared skills reach Claude Code?
Claude Code's docs list skills from your Claude account among the places it loads from, alongside ~/.claude/skills and a project's .claude/skills folder.
