Guide
Alternatives to ChatGPT Business for sharing assistants and prompts with your team
If you want to share assistants and prompts with a team without ChatGPT Business, the alternatives fall into three groups. Move the team to another AI workspace (Claude Team). Use a platform that runs its own company agents (Dust, Dify, Juma). Or keep everyone's current AI and share the instructions into it (AI Skill Pod, which serves skills to each person's Claude, ChatGPT and coding agents through one MCP link). Which is cheapest depends on whether you are paying for the AI or only for the sharing.
Short answer
- Whole team can switch to Claude: Claude Team.
- You want agents wired into Slack, Notion and Drive: Dust.
- You want to build and host AI apps yourself: Dify.
- You want a prompt library inside one shared chat tool: Juma.
- People keep their own Claude or ChatGPT, contractors included: AI Skill Pod.
Why teams look for an alternative
ChatGPT's Skills, the feature that shares instructions inside a workspace, is listed for Business, Enterprise, Healthcare and Edu. Sharing therefore means everyone on a Business seat in one workspace. That doesn't fit a team where some people prefer Claude, or where freelancers use their own accounts. Custom GPTs also retire on 11 December 2026; the retirement guide covers the move.

How the three groups differ
- Another AI workspace (Claude Team). Everyone moves to one product and one organization. Strong if the team wants Claude anyway; contractors need seats in your organization.
- An agent platform (Dust, Dify, Juma). People use the platform's own chat or apps, with models chosen by the platform or by you. Strong for company-wide agents connected to your data; it is another place to work.
- Sharing into the AI people already use (AI Skill Pod). Nobody switches. Each person adds one MCP link, and their own AI reads the team's skills. It doesn't host models or build apps.
How to choose in an afternoon
- List who must use the shared assistants: employees, contractors, clients, and which AI each uses today.
- Write your must-haves before looking at vendors: AI tools, outside people, data connections, budget per seat.
- Weight the criteria and score two or three vendors from their own pages, with the evidence for each score.
- Price it for your real team size, including contractors, billed the way you'd pay.
- Trial the top choice with one real assistant or prompt for a week before moving the rest.
