AI Skill Pod vs PromptHub: which fits your team?

PromptHub and AI Skill Pod solve different halves of "share our prompts". PromptHub is a prompt-engineering platform: version, test, chain and deploy prompts, and fetch them from your own app through an API. AI Skill Pod is for people who use AI in chat and coding tools: it serves the team's skills to each person's own Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and OpenCode through one MCP link, from $5 per seat.

Short answer

  • Pick PromptHub if your prompts run inside a product you build and you need versions, test runs across models, and an API.
  • Pick AI Skill Pod if your team, contractors included, runs the same tasks in Claude, ChatGPT and coding agents and should all get the same, current instructions without pasting.

What PromptHub does well

  • Prompt engineering in one place. It calls itself "the home for prompt engineering": discover, manage, version, test and deploy prompts.
  • Versioning on every plan. Its pricing page shows version control on Free, Pro, Team and Enterprise.
  • Testing across models. Side-by-side tests against several providers, batch testing, and, on Team and Enterprise, evaluations and CI/CD pipelines.
  • An API for apps. An app can fetch a prompt by branch and inject variables from its own data.

What AI Skill Pod does differently

  • Built for chat, not code. A teammate asks their own AI; it picks the matching skill by its description. Nothing to copy.
  • One link for six AI tools. Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and OpenCode connect to the same pod; ChatGPT on Pro, Business, and Enterprise.
  • Contractors on personal accounts. An invite link takes a personal email, so a freelancer on their own Claude Pro joins like anyone else.
  • 100+ ready-to-use business skills. Official skills that, on Team and Business, keep following the latest version, with your team's own rules added under them.

AI Skill Pod doesn't run test batches across models or deploy prompts into your app. If that is the job, PromptHub is built for it and AI Skill Pod is not.

Cost for a team of 5

  • AI Skill Pod Team: 5 × $5 a month. Business: $75 a month.
  • PromptHub Team: 5 × $20 = $100 a month billed monthly, or 5 × $15 billed yearly.

Both have a free plan, so a small trial costs nothing on either.

Questions

Is PromptHub good for sharing prompts with a team?

Yes, if your prompts run inside software you build. PromptHub offers Git-style versioning, testing across model providers, prompt chains, and an API to fetch or run a prompt by branch, and its Team plan adds team and user permissions. Its home and pricing pages, read on 4 November 2026, don't mention MCP or the open skill format.

What does PromptHub cost?

From its pricing page on 4 November 2026: Free ($0, unlimited team members, 2,000 requests a month), Pro ($12 a month, one user), Team ($20 per user a month, or $15 with yearly billing), and Enterprise (custom).

Can I use PromptHub prompts in ChatGPT or Claude chats?

PromptHub's pages describe copying prompts, its playground, and an API for apps. They don't describe a connector for the ChatGPT or Claude apps. AI Skill Pod is built for that: one MCP link in Claude, ChatGPT (Pro, Business, Enterprise), Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and OpenCode.
