AI Skill Pod vs Sharebench: which fits a small team?

Sharebench and AI Skill Pod both keep a team's AI work in one place that each person's AI reads over MCP. Sharebench describes itself as "a registry for the prompts, skills, agents, and workflows your team writes", with a public bench anyone can read and a free plan for up to five teammates. AI Skill Pod is built around skills for non-engineer teams: 100+ ready-to-use business skills that keep updating, contractors on personal accounts, and one link for Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and OpenCode.

Short answer

  • Pick Sharebench if you want to store prompts, agents and workflows as well as skills, read its public bench, and stay free with up to five people.
  • Pick AI Skill Pod if you want ready-made business skills that keep improving, and, on Business, contractors in their own group and controls for who sees and edits which skill.

What Sharebench does well

  • More than skills. It holds prompts, agents and workflows too, so a team can keep a brand-voice agent and a sales-email skill side by side.
  • A public bench. Any AI tool can read the public bench with no account; its connect page shows a one-line setup for Claude Code.
  • A generous free plan. Up to five teammates and 50 artifacts, with "no trial clock".
  • Billing per filled seat. Its Team plan bills the seats you use, not open ones.

What AI Skill Pod does differently

  • Official skills that keep improving. On Team and Business, a library skill follows the latest official version, and your team's own rules sit under it instead of in a copy.
  • Contractors as contractors. On Team, a skill can be recommended or available per group. On Business, people can also be marked as contractors and kept out of the Employees group, and a skill can be required.
  • Edits approved before they go live, on Business.
  • A team plan you can buy today. Sharebench's pricing page says Team billing "opens soon" and onboarding is by hand.

Sharebench's home page doesn't describe access controls for a team bench in detail. If you need to know who can see which artifact, ask Sharebench before you move sensitive instructions there, and run a short connector review for either product.

Cost for a team of 5

  • AI Skill Pod Team: 5 × $5 a month. Business: $75 a month.
  • Sharebench: $0 on Free, which covers five teammates and 50 artifacts. Team, once billing opens, 5 × $12 = $60 a month.

Questions

What is Sharebench?

A registry for the prompts, skills, agents and workflows a team writes, in its own words. AI tools pull them on demand over MCP; its home page names Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and Codex. It also has a public bench any AI tool can read with no signup.

What does Sharebench cost?

From its pricing page on 4 November 2026: Free ($0, up to 5 teammates, 50 artifacts, 2 GB), Team ($12 per teammate a month, unlimited, with billing 'opens soon' and onboarding by hand), and Enterprise (custom, with SSO and single-tenant deployment).

Is Sharebench or AI Skill Pod better for non-engineers?

Both connect over MCP. AI Skill Pod adds an official library of researched business skills that keep updating, an invite link that takes personal emails, and, on Business, contractors kept apart, per-skill permissions and edit approvals. Sharebench's free plan is larger for teams of up to five.

Have your AI check a connector before your team adds it

Put this skill in AI Skill Pod and everyone on your team gets it in their Claude, Cursor or ChatGPT (Pro, Business, Enterprise): one invite link, free to start. Before your team connects either server, Review an MCP connector before connecting has your AI review it: who runs it, what each tool can read or change, how sign-in works, and whether to connect.
