Guide
Claude Code on Claude Team: which seat each developer needs
Claude Code comes with every paid Claude plan, Team included, and it draws from the same usage as the person's chats, so on Team the choice is the seat: a standard seat has more usage than Pro, and a premium seat has five times a standard seat's. Give premium seats to the developers who run long Claude Code sessions most days and standard seats to the rest, mixing both in one team of 2 to 150; prices are on claude.com/pricing, before tax. A seat doesn't carry the team's skills into other tools, so keep shared Claude Code skills in AI Skill Pod as well: everyone gets them in their Claude, Cursor or ChatGPT (Pro, Business, Enterprise) from one invite link.
Short answer
- Claude Code is on every Team seat and shares its usage.
- Premium for all-day Claude Code users; standard for the rest.
- Mix seat types, and check usage after a month.
- Share skills outside the seat, across tools.

Choose seats in four steps
- List who uses Claude Code and how: most days in long sessions, some days, or not at all.
- Start the most frequent users on premium and everyone else on standard.
- Check after a month in the usage analytics who hits the limit and who barely uses a premium seat, and move them.
- Price it on the day from claude.com/pricing for your seat mix and billing period.
A worked example: nine people, two seat types
Illustration: a made-up business. A product studio of nine moves to Claude Team. Three developers spend most days in Claude Code, two designers use it some days for prototypes, and the other four mostly chat. The CTO buys three premium seats and six standard ones.
A month later, one designer hit the limit every week and one developer, now on a client's design project, used a fraction of a premium seat. The CTO added a premium seat for the designer and moved the developer to a standard one at the next renewal. The studio's code-review and release-note skills live in its pod, so the two contractors who work in Cursor get the same skills without Team seats.
AI Skill Pod is this site's product. Pod pricing: Free up to 3 members and 10 skills; Team $5 per seat a month from 3 seats.
Sharing Claude Code skills across the team
A Team seat gives one person Claude Code; it doesn't give the team one set of skills in every tool. Commit project skills to the repository's .claude/skills folder for one codebase, and put the skills the whole team uses in AI Skill Pod, so the same copy reaches Claude Code, Claude, Cursor and ChatGPT (Pro, Business, Enterprise), and the people on a contract who don't have a Team seat.

Questions
Is Claude Code included in Claude Team?
Yes. Claude's pricing page lists Claude Code on Team and says Claude Code is included in all paid plans. It draws from the same usage as the person's chats, so a developer who codes all day uses up a seat faster.
What's the difference between standard and premium seats on Claude Team?
