Guide
The Cursor Teams plan for a dev team: seats, usage and admin
Cursor Teams is priced per active paid seat: Premium, Super and Ultra seats each include a weekly allowance for Cursor's own models, a free seat carries no team allowance, and other providers' models are paid from a prepaid balance the team shares. Admins get central billing, single sign-on, usage analytics, team-wide privacy mode, team rules and a team marketplace for internal rules, skills and plugins; adding someone mid-cycle is prorated, and a seat you no longer need stops costing at the end of the period once you reduce it. The skills a dev team writes can also live in AI Skill Pod, which adds them to Cursor and to everyone's Claude or ChatGPT (Pro, Business, Enterprise) from one invite link.
Short answer
- Seats: Premium, Super, Ultra, and free.
- Usage: weekly per seat; other models from a shared balance.
- Admin: SSO, team rules, privacy mode, a team marketplace.
- Enterprise: pooled usage, invoicing, SCIM.

| Seat | Weekly allowance for Cursor's models | Fits |
|---|---|---|
| Premium | The base pool | Most developers |

| Ultra | 12.5 times Premium | The heaviest users |
| Free | None from the team | Admins or occasional members, who use their own plan |
From Cursor's Team Pricing docs, read 5 November 2026, 23:08 JST. Prices: Cursor pricing. One team can mix seat tiers. Teams created before the current pricing keep their older Standard and Premium seats, which differ from today's tiers. The weekly pools cover Cursor's own models (Grok and Composer in its docs); Claude and GPT models always draw on the shared balance.
A worked example: an eight-person dev shop
Illustration: a made-up business. A web agency's eight developers move from individual Cursor plans to Teams. The lead:
- Mixes seats: six Premium, one Super for the developer who runs agents all day, and a free seat for the designer who opens Cursor now and then.
- Sets a monthly cap on additional usage, since the team uses Claude models, which are paid from the shared balance.
- Turns on team-wide privacy mode and SSO, and adds two team rules for code style.
- Puts the release-notes and PR-description skills in the agency's pod, so the two account managers get them in Claude as well as the developers in Cursor.
AI Skill Pod is this site's product. Pod pricing: Free up to 3 members and 10 skills; Team $5 per seat a month from 3 seats.
Before you move the team
- Check who uses which models. Cursor's own models come out of each seat's weekly pool; others come out of the shared balance.
- Set the monthly additional-usage limit and per-member limits before the first invoice.
- Decide what's required: privacy mode for everyone, SSO, and which team rules are enforced.
- Reduce seats in billing when people leave; removing them only frees the seat, and a seat whose holder used credits stays occupied to the end of the cycle.

Questions
How does Cursor Teams pricing work?
Per active paid seat. Each Premium, Super or Ultra seat includes a weekly allowance for Cursor's own models, and the team shares a prepaid balance for other providers' models and for use beyond the allowance. A free seat has no team allowance. Prices are on Cursor's pricing page.
What does Cursor Teams add over individual plans?
Central billing and administration, SAML or OIDC single sign-on, usage analytics, team-wide privacy mode, team rules for every member, and a team marketplace for internal rules, skills and plugins. Enterprise adds pooled usage, invoicing and SCIM.
What happens to billing when someone leaves a Cursor team?
Removing the member frees their seat for the next person who joins, though if they used any credits the seat stays occupied until the end of the billing cycle. To stop paying for it, reduce seats in billing, which takes effect at the end of the period. Adding someone mid-cycle is charged pro rata.
